Laces Tied, Ready to Run

I was talking with a ministry leader at the Asian Leadership Conference last week in Jakarta and the topic turned to campus ministries.

"I heard from a brother in the U.S. that the campus ministries are really struggling. They're not doing very well, right?" he asked.

I was more than a little incredulous, and thought maybe we had a language problem. "You mean back a couple of year ago, right? When did you hear this?" I asked.

"No, just recently. He said the campus ministries aren't doing well in the U.S."

Hmmm.

To put a new twist on an old phrase, it seems that in the church bad news can get halfway around the world before good news gets its shoes on.

You can pick up a good pair of running shoes for campus ministry news here, here, and here.

They're practically running a shoe store over at ICOC Hot News these days.
